ASSA ABLOY — A Volvo Ocean Race Legend.

Participated in one of the toughest offshore races on the planet.

Originally raced as Assa Abloy in the 2001–2002 Volvo Ocean Race™, this 63’5” / 19.4m Ocean Race yacht finished 2nd overall under the command of Roy Heiner (NED) and Neil McDonald (GBR).

Today, she is entering her next chapter.

Based at Bozburun Yacht Club, Türkiye, the yacht is being refitted to become part of the Pindar Sailing × Bozburun Yacht Club Team Base — where legendary offshore race boats are given a new purpose.

Where Legacy Meets the Future.

Through the Learning the Ropes pathway, we are creating a more accessible and sustainable route into high-performance offshore sailing, giving the next generation, especially women, the opportunity to learn, develop and race aboard the yachts that shaped offshore sailing history.

The pathway ahead began yesterday.
